Internet Explorer, eh?

The best parts of this website are visible only in modern web browsers like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

But don't lose hope! If you're on a work computer or for some other reason are not permitted to install a better browser, you can use Google Chrome Frame, an Internet Explorer plugin which enables the much improved functionalities of Google Chrome as a plugin within Internet Explorer. That's something to smile about!

Delectable Design

...and a mind for the

unique needs of every client,

as widely varied as they may be...

We are the Heroes of the Interwebs
and we've come to set you free!

With the righteous weapons of modern web design we slay the 21st century's most evil tyrants: cluttered websites, tasteless design, bad user experience, and poorly written code. What are these righteous weapons? Glad you asked.

Here are some of the tools & technologies we love to use on our client's projects.
Don't settle for anything less.

More stuff we've designed

Samira Shuruk.com was one of the most ambitious projects we've taken on to date. The site features 5 completely unique background images and color schemes, one for each parent category on the site. It also employs RSS feeds to send automatic emails to different mailing list segments dependent upon which categories are tagged when events are created. Also, uses CSS3 heavily for animation, and a splash of jQuery. El Jefe Restaurant was an excellent local restaurant looking for a brand identity that was bold, relevant, and appealed to many people who were previously unaware of the restaurant due to the lack of a true brand identity. The site features complex custom taxonomies to manage the many subsections of the menu Anasma's website was one of the most challenging (in a good way) projects we've undertaken. Multiple event streams for different types of events, complex WordPress integration including multi-lingual functionality, mailing list integration, custom featured images for all events, and lots of other goodies. Newark CoWork needed a very simple website with a clean and crisp edge. DreamStar Studios delivered just that and built the site conveniently on WordPres (like all of our projects) so they can easily update and maintain the site. Hannah Nour's website re-design was truly an inspired venture. As soon as we saw photos of Hannah's costuming and stylization, we knew right away the kind of french-inspired, retro, carnivale, vintage throwback we wanted. Hannah was willing to let us be bold and take a risk on this design and it totally paid off. Wedding Photographer Brian Feister needed a website to feature his online photography portfolio and also a photo blog to feature ne photography from new clients. We delivered a site that looks modern and elegant and accurately conveys the quality of the brand identity. Bellydancer Mariyah needed a website that more accurately presented her brand identity (or stage identity in this case) as an performing artist. We worked closely to find the aesthetic that most accurately represented her unique style and qualities. The Theatrical Bellydance Conference is an annual event that hosts performers from scores of different countries around the world each year for a theater extravaganza in NYC. When the directors decided to take the conference to the next level, they hired us to craft a fresh brand identity and a custom eCommerce solution to manage all sales and registrations for the conference. The Blessing Place, a local church community was in desparate need of a website that could act as a central hub for members to get info about upcoming events. We incorporated automated email updates that send updates directly to the mailing list anytime a new event is added inside of the WordPress CMS. NYC Bellydancer Cristina needed a website and brand identity that accurately portrayed her with a powerful edge to help her rising popularity as a performaing artist in NYC. We delivered a design unlike any competitors. Internationally acclaimed and Award-Winning author Marisa de Jesus needed a website that could simultaneously convey both a whimsical as well as scholarly identity as a successful and published author. We gladly mixed the two and came up with a great design that reveals the best of both worlds! An annual charity event that donates money to breast cancer research, Shimmies for the Cure needed a simple site to post information relevant to the event and also route ticket sales for the event. Internationally acclaimed performing artist Ranya Renée needed a website and brand identity to manage her rising populairty on the heels of the release of two dance instructional DVD's. DreamStar Studios delivered a website that is capable of keeping up with her busy schedule, and did the product design for her DVD cover. Bellydance artist Yasmeena approached us with a very defined and specific set of goals for a re-design of her website: Simple, Minimal, Elegant. The final result was a simple yet stunning one-page website the we both love! Bellydancer Carrara Nour needed a website that was reflected her as a professional entertainer. DreamStar Studios delivered a brand identity paired with a simple yet powerful website to manage her business. Valeria Entertainment, a successful NYC-based entertainment agency needed a website that could effectively convey a high-impact and marketable front for a wide variety of performance artists of varying styles. We built them something that manages custom taxonomies, and data hierarchies for differing entertainers and styles executed in a way that is simple for the client to manage. Up and coming belly dancer Shiraz needed a website that could effectively promote and act as a central hub for endearing fans to keep tabs on her public performing schedule and sutdents to find out about upcoming classes. We delivered just that with our events module. When Author Beth Sorensen decided to begin the process of seeking out a publisher for her work, she came to DreamStar Studios to help craft an online presence that reflected her goals and style as a writer. Her first novel was published a year later and had a winery as the primary setting, maybe you can spot the thematic elements on the site ;) When Bellydance artist Shahrzad changed her stage name from Vasha Hatal to Shahrzad, she came to DreamStar Studios for help in designing a new brand identity and website to accompany it. Amala Gameela (beautiful bird - in Arabic) needed a website to manage her complex and busy teaching schedule as a dance teacher. We delivered something simple and effective that enabled Amala to easily and simply maintain that complex schedule and keep her website current with all the important info.
